Page backgrounds and the media library

Choose a radial gradient, add background media and check the result in presentation mode.

Choosing a radial gradient

Open Page Settings in the editor, choose Color as the background type and select Radial gradient. Use the background color picker to change the two colors: the first appears at the center and the second spreads toward the edges. Check text contrast in both areas. The picker also offers Gradient > Radial; the direction setting applies to linear gradients.

Adding an image or video background

Choose Image or Video as the background type, then select media from the library. Adjust the fit, position and opacity. Use the color overlay when the background makes text difficult to read. Choosing Color again removes the image or video from that page background.

Finding a Pexels video

When Pexels is enabled, open the Pexels tab in the video library. Search for a subject, preview a result and choose an available resolution before adding it. The general media library lets you switch between images and videos. Available results and resolutions depend on the provider.

Checking motion and exported files

For a gradient background, the animation controls set its motion and speed. Preview the complete slide in presentation mode. Static exports do not play motion, and editable PowerPoint backgrounds may differ from the browser rendering; inspect the exported file before sharing it.
