Designing with the editor AI chat
Create editable slides, refine selected elements, review proposals and undo AI changes.
Opening and arranging the chat
Open a presentation in the editor and choose the AI magic icon or Draw Assistant. Drag the chat header to move the panel and drag its edges to resize it. Its position and size are remembered in this browser for your account. Minimize the panel to see more of the canvas; minimizing keeps the conversation and an ongoing request.
Describing the change
Write the content and design you need. For example: Create five total slides about our pilot, using the current blank slide as the cover. Specify the language, palette and any exact data. Select a block before requesting a change to that element. The page and selection shown above the conversation identify the context. Existing slide text is reference material, not an instruction to change other presentations.
Costs, previews and applying changes
Send the request, review the credit estimate and choose Prepare or type Prepare. The assistant prepares editable native slide elements. When a proposal requires confirmation, review the slide previews and choose Apply changes or type Apply. Discard cancels a proposal. Large edits and deletion require confirmation; smaller approved edits can apply immediately. A request is saved on the server so checking its status does not charge for a second generation.
Stopping, recovery and undo
Choose Stop while a request is running. A stopped request cannot later apply its proposal, but provider work already completed may consume credits. If the connection is interrupted, use Check saved status. Use Undo AI change or type Undo to restore the last applied AI operation. Undo includes pages created by that operation and is allowed only if those pages have not changed since; it never overwrites a teammate’s later edits. Manual editor undo remains separate.
Supported content and limits
The assistant creates and edits supported text, shapes and other native modules using the current presentation. Locked elements and presentation permissions remain enforced. It can reuse existing media; this chat does not yet generate new images or videos. Use the image toolbar for AI image editing. Check every slide in presentation mode before sharing, especially text length, data and unsupported module details. Conversation history stays in this browser session; closing the browser session does not remove saved presentation changes.
